- The spacing between towers were arranged to allow for maximum viewing surfaces as one progresses along Spadina Avenue. The narrow edge of each high rise reaches the street while low plaza buildings at the base, set back from the street create public space and areas of congregation.

- The floor plates of the existing building on the One Spadina site would be increased above the main volume of building to accommodate the required square footage needed for the extension.

- The building will house four interconnected and related faculties: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Visual Studies. To allow for intermingling and views between various academic programs, four basic geometric ‘boolean’ gestures are cut out of the towers floor plates creating unique interior atrium spaces. These boolean cuts are then used as an organizational tactic for the building programs which are distributed to allow for maximum points of interaction between the various faculty programs.

- The structural strategy also pays heed to the cuts in the floor plate. Steel truss systems are distributed through out the building to minimize the number of vertical members at the center of the boolean cuts thus not obstructing views. Elevators and fire stairs are then attached to the edges of the tower in order to service all floors.

- ag4 media facade technology is attached to the tower facade. The widely spaced LED display allows for visibility from the inside out, while maintaining image quality at a distance on the exterior.
