Description:

Two cabinet lights, one halogen, one florescent, we installed next to one another. A strip of yellow paint was applied below both lights.

Statement:

When one is unaware of the circumstances under which they view the world, they are unaware of the subtleties which affect their everyday lives. The ways in which we see color have a lot to do with the light we view them under. Such a faint difference in tone often goes unnoticed or neglected, yet when put side by side, the contrast is more evident than given credit for. When such lights are installed in a home it affects every color seen and as a result influence the attitudes, moods, appearances and emotions in its vicinity. We are inevitably intertwined with the world we live in; with every detail playing an ample role.
